S$1.5M is up for grabs at Singapore’s FinTech Festival in November 2017
With over 13,000 attendees last year, it’s almost time for Singapore’s second edition FinTech Festival. Returning 13-17 November, The Singapore FinTech Festival is an annual exposition that brings together the global financial community through a week-long celebration of FinTech.
Whether you’re from a start-up, an established business, or even someone who knows nothing about FinTech, this festival has something for everyone according to Roy Teo, Director of the FinTech Festival. Start-ups, investors, financial institutions, local ecosystem partners, and government agencies are all involved with the festival offering exciting discussions, stimulating demos, insightful debates and various opportunities for networking and learning.
So, here’s what you can expect to see at the festival:

To kick off this year’s festival, on 18 July there will be a big Singapore FinTech meet up hosted by The Monetary Authority of Singapore at LATTICE80. From 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., enjoy an evening full of good food and good discussion about latest initiatives, including what’s in store for the FinTech Festival and how you can leverage on the Global FinTech Hackcelerator and Investor Summit platforms to amp up your business intelligence.
The best part is, anyone can go and registration is free! Listen to the winners of last year’s FinTech Awards share their success stories while you munch on some delicious snacks and beverages. Start-ups, apply to the Global FinTech Hackcelerator programme and win S$50,000
KPMG is a platinum sponsor this year and will be running the Global FinTech Hackcelerator. This programme is looking for the most innovative start-ups, not only in Singapore, but all over the world who can address problem statements contributed by the global FinTech community and the financial services industry. The programme is inviting all start-ups to apply in order to demonstrate how they can innovate to solve these problem statements.
20 teams will be selected and matched up with industry legends for 12 weeks to customize their market-ready solutions into contextualized prototypes ready for adoption starting on 28th August. When the 12 weeks are complete, the start-ups will demonstrate their solution on the main stage of FinTech Festival. The top 3 will be chosen shortly after that and will each be granted a grand prize of S$50,000.

Already part of an established FinTech company? How does S$1.5M sound?
If you are part of a FinTech company and have already implemented a FinTech solution, don’t worry, you still have the opportunity to win some cash. S$1.5M worth of cash, to be exact.
